Reptiles and amphibians of Eastern Panama
BY Paul Crump
As part of an effort to preserve some of the amphibian biodiversity of Panama, a small team of zoo personal spent a week in eastern Panama collecting priority amphibians and attempting the determine if chytrid fungus was present in the individuals at this site. A bonus to being in such a diverse environment is that we were able to view and photograph a wide range of reptile and amphibian species from this area...many the team had never seen in the wild before. This presentation will go through the speakers experiences and species seen on this trip to eastern-central Panama.
