ETHS visits the NARBC show.

Hello ETHS memebers,

I wanted to take a minute to update you all on an event that the ETHS supported a few weeks ago.  For the first time the North American Reptile Breeders Conference & Trade Show (NARBC: http://www.narbc.com/htm2006/dfw_index.htm ) was held in Arlington Texas (Feb 17&18) and let me tell you…it was fantastic!  Not only was it well stocked with a great selection of animals and dry good but they hosted a series of great talks as well…they even had the infamous Nigel Marvin from the Discovery Channel and the amazing artist Tell Hicks!   ETHS was there in force with a great table packed full of all kinds of reptile related information.  Special thanks to Robert and Melissa Edwards, Pam and Kerry Rosenberry, and Gina Diseldorf for pulling everything together and manning the table.  You guys did a great job!!   The ETHS would not exist if it were not for volunteers so thanks guys for a job well done.  Over the course of the weekend we hosted a number of raffles in which we gave away some pretty cool prizes.  Koen Stokes won a beautiful Amazon Tree Boa (Corallus Hortallunus) donated by Dr Cord Offermann (a 77$ gain for the ETHS – Sweet!) and Talisa Tevebaugh pulled the lucky draw on an amazing Nelsons Milk Snake (Lampropeltis Nelsoni) donated by Robert Edwards.  Thanks guys for your donations and congratulations to the winners!!  We also raffled off a few free ETHS Conference Admissions (listed below) and picked up two new members.  Congratulations to those winners and welcome to the ETHS. To our new members (hope to see you at the March meeting ;).  So...in short…for all of you who thought about making the drive up to Arlington but just didn’t make it happen…don't let next year pass you by…you won't be disappointed.  Also, to our NARBC hosts Bob Ashley and Brian Potter…thanks guys we truly appreciated all of your hospitality!

See you soon…

Mike
